The fine print, kept plain.
These terms apply to every watch you buy from this website. They work alongside our Delivery, Returns & Refunds, Lifetime Guarantee and Privacy pages. None of them take away your legal rights as a consumer.

Who we are
Slaidburn is the trading name of Mohammed Patel, a sole trader based in England. Address: . Email: [email protected].
If Slaidburn becomes a limited company, we will update these terms and tell you which company is responsible for your order.
Our watches
Each watch in the Inspired by Superheroes Collection, and each strap version of Red One, is made in a limited edition of 100. Once an edition has sold, it will not be made again.
Every watch is assembled by hand, so small differences from the photographs, such as the exact shade of a dial or the grain of a strap, are part of its character and are not a fault.
Placing an order
You order by paying through our secure checkout, run by Stripe. Our contract with you starts when your payment is taken and Stripe emails your receipt.
If we cannot accept your order, for example because the edition sold out at the same moment or there was an obvious error in the price, we will tell you and refund you in full straight away.
Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling and include delivery within the UK. We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged. Optional extras, such as a gift box, are shown and added at checkout before you pay.
Payment is taken in full when you order. Your card or other payment details are handled by Stripe and never reach us.
Making and delivering your watch
Your watch is assembled to order in our Whitechapel workshop, so please allow up to 8 weeks for delivery from the date of your order, or from the day you approve your design for a custom commission. You agree to this timescale when you order.
Christmas: orders for watches from the collection placed by 15 December 2026, for delivery in the UK, will be delivered before 25 December 2026. Custom commissions are made after your design consultation, so they are not covered by this promise.
If we have not delivered within that time, or a later date we have agreed with you, you may cancel and we will refund you in full. If you need your watch by a particular date, tell us before you order and we will try to arrange it.
The watch is your responsibility from the moment it is delivered to you, or to someone you nominate. It becomes yours once we have received payment in full. More in Delivery.
Changing your mind
For watches from the collection you have 14 days from delivery to cancel, for any reason. How it works, and what it costs, is set out in Returns & Refunds.
Custom commissions
A custom commission is £750 for any design you create in our designer. The price includes your private design consultation, at which we agree every detail of your watch with you.
- Before you approve your design, you can cancel at any time and we will refund you in full.
- Once you approve your final design and we begin making it, your watch is made to your specification, so the 14-day right to cancel does not apply to it. Your rights if anything is wrong with it, and our Lifetime Guarantee, still do.
- If you send us a photograph for a photo dial, or words for an engraving, you confirm you have the right to use them. We may decline anything offensive, unlawful or belonging to someone else, and we will discuss it with you first.
If something is wrong
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, your watch must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If it is not:
- within 30 days of delivery you can reject it for a full refund;
- after that, we will repair or replace it, and if that does not put it right you can have some or all of your money back;
- you can make a claim for up to six years.
Our Lifetime Guarantee is given on top of these rights, not instead of them. For more on your rights, contact Citizens Advice.
Orders from outside the UK
Our online checkout delivers within the UK. For other countries we arrange each order personally through our Private International Service, and confirm the price, delivery and any import duties or taxes in writing before you pay. Import duties and taxes are payable by you unless we agree otherwise.
Our responsibility to you
If we break these terms we are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of it. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses: our watches are sold for private use.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit, and nothing affects your legal rights.
Events outside our control
If something outside our reasonable control delays your order, we will tell you as soon as we can and do what we reasonably can to limit the delay. If the delay is long, you may cancel and we will refund you for anything not yet delivered.
Questions and complaints
Email [email protected]. We aim to reply within two working days and to put things right quickly.
If we cannot settle a complaint between us, the Citizens Advice consumer service (0808 223 1133, citizensadvice.org.uk) can advise you. We do not currently use an alternative dispute resolution scheme.
Our designs
Our watches are our own original designs. Slaidburn is independent and is not affiliated with, licensed by or endorsed by any other brand, publisher, studio or person.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts where you live.
